3 easy-to-make cheese appetisers

These cheese appetisers are quick to prepare and serve while your guests enjoy a few drinks.

Garlic and basil parmesan crisps

Place 2 tablespoons of grated parmesan on a lined baking sheet, creating a thin round.  Sprinkle with dried garlic and basil and bake until golden.

Home-made cheese puffs

Mix 2 cups of grated Cheddar (such as Montgomery’s) and mix with half a cup of butter and flour, add a little salt and form into 12 small balls.  Bake at 350°C for 15 minutes.

Tasty cheese dips

Mix together 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise and sour cream with 100g mozzarella and 50g of Cheddar and parmesan.  Season to taste with salt and garlic salt and serve with pitta bread, carrot and cucumber batons.

These delicious cheese snacks are perfect for serving just after midnight on New Year’s Eve to keep your party going into the small hours.

Goats' cheese with honey and walnut

Mix a handful of chopped walnuts with olive oil, 2 tablespoons of honey and a little pepper.  Slice the goat’s cheese log into rounds cover with the oil, honey and nut mixture.  Let it soak for an hour or two before serving with crusty bread.  You might also like to try our deliciously different Goats’ cheese mousse.

Super simple cheese toasties

Take some slices of white bread, cover with Paxton & Whitfield Spiced Plum Chutney, top with Gruyere Reserve and grill or cook with a skillet to melt the cheese.  Serve hot.

Baked Camembert or Brie

Everyone loves a baked Camembert or Brie.  Our Savoury Baked Camembert recipe is ultra-easy and very tasty.  Alternatively, take our Brie de Melun Whole or the Brie de Meaux and take off the top rind.  Top with diced apple and a drizzle of our white truffle honey.  Bake until slightly runny.
