Returning to our cheese counters this month after a long leave of absence is an old Yorkshire friend Swaledale Ewe's cheese.

On Saturday 4th May, 11 - 4pm Jess Trethowan the maker of Gorwydd Caerphilly will visiting our Stratford shop to tell us a bit more about their lovely cheese and of course some sampling too!

British Food Fortnight is all about promoting the benefits of food grown or produced in the UK and is a great opportunity for everyone to enjoy the delicious and diverse food that Britain offers.

Exciting news, we have just received the first delivery of our new Great British Gooseberry Chutney! 

An evening of wonderful blue cheeses matched with some fantastic dessert wines.

New in our Stratford shop today, Morbier!  Often made by Comte producers, this cheese has a smooth creamy and mellow taste, with a thin layer of ash running through the centre separating the evening milk from the morning milk.  A wonderful tasting cheese, also looks very striking on the cheese board.

We will be sampling this lovely cheese in our Stratford shop, so come in and try some for yourself.

Kilree is in stock and tasting delicious! This washed rind goat’s milk cheese from Co. Kilkenny was crowned Supreme Champion at the British Cheese Awards 2011. It is available to purchase by mail order and from all three Paxton & Whitfield shops, as well as wholesale!

Paxton & Whitfield together with Vinology Wine & Spirit Merchants will be hosting an Evening of Cheese and Wine: "Alpine".
