Meaning "sweet" in Italian, Gorgonzola Dolce is a soft, blue, delicate and buttery cheese made with cow's milk.

Gorgonzola Dolce has a delicate complexity and intense flavour that keep you coming back for more. Aged for a minimum of 45 days, Gorgonzola shows lactic and creamy character with a hint of fruity sweetness. It is not as intense or spicy as its blue cheese cousins, rather a more decadent and creamy option, one to try if you're not sure about blues but love a soft cheese. 

A good quality Moscsato di Asti is a classic pairing with Gorgonzola Dolce. The gooey texture of the cheese is lifted by the bubbles and the candied fruit sweetness of the wine contrasts the blue wonderfully. Our Paxton's Monbazillac dessert wine also complements this cheese beautifully.
