'The Elizabeth' Cheese Cake

'The Elizabeth' Cheese Cake

An incredible tiered cheese cake designed to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, comprising five remarkable British artisan cheeses. Perfectly Serves 200 people.

£450.00

The ultimate ‘wow’ factor cheese cake for your celebration - made from five tiers of sensational British artisan cheese - plenty to serve 200 people (£2.25 per serving).

The bottom tier is best-selling Westcombe Cheddar, the second tier is award-winning, crumbly Gorwydd Caerphilly, the third tier is creamy Colston Bassett Stilton, the fourth tier features two Guernsey milk Waterloo cheeses and the top tier features three citrusy ash-rinded Driftwood goats' milk cheeses.

Featuring:

Westcombe Cheddar 4kg: Fantastic example of a West Country farmhouse cheddar, with mellow notes of hazelnut and caramel and a slightly earthy flavour. Truly handmade using milk solely from local herds that graze on lush Somerset pastures.

Gorwydd Caerphilly 4kg: A cheese of two halves, Gorwydd Caerphilly has a creamy softness by the rind which ripens from the outside in. The centre of the cheese is crumbly, acidic and bright.

Colston Bassett Stilton 4kg: An award-winning blue Stilton cheese that is creamy in colour, with blue veins running throughout. The texture of this delightful cheese is smooth with an enjoyable mellow flavour, without a sharp acidic taste. Hand-made by Billy Kevan and his team in Nottinghamshire, Colston Bassett Stilton is one of the last remaining hand-ladled Stiltons.

Waterloo 2 x 200g: Waterloo is rich and not too powerful. It has a mildly salty flavour balanced by its lactic centre. It's an attractive and unique cheese for your cheeseboard with its white rind contrasting with the deep cream-coloured paste.

Driftwood 3 x 215g: Award-winning, lemony ash-rinded goats' cheese made in the heart of the Westcountry. The texture is close and silky, with a pleasing saltiness and citrusy notes and the pretty grey-black geotrichum mould is said to resemble bark.
