Limited Edition for your Easter Cheeseboard

Bleu de Laqueuille has a soft, supple texture and a rich and creamy taste - absolutely delicious on your Easter cheeseboard and we have just 35 pieces available for Easter delivery. 

Bleu de Laqueuille is named after the town where it was created, Laqueuille-Gare, on the edge of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Park. The cheese has been made at the Fromagerie Laqueuille since 1856 by the Roussel family to a method developed from the original Bleu D’auvergne. Bleu de Laqueuille is made from pasteurised cows' milk collected twice a day from local farms and takes 45 days to make and mature.  The cheeses are pricked with metal needles to oxygenate the cheese so the penicillium roqueforti can form, which appears more as even blue dimpling than blue veining, after about 10-15 days. The mould is developed on rye bread before being added to the curds. It is then matured for 3 months in cool humid cellars.
