Our iconic Stilton jars are a perfect gift for cheese lovers. Our award-winning Stilton is crumbled into these collectable jars, and covered with clarified butter to ensure the quality of the product. When crumbled into a jar, the texture of the cheese is softer and creamier than you would expect from piece of Stilton cut from a whole cheese. Blue Stilton is made with full cream, resulting in a rich cheese both in flavour and texture. With rounded mushroom notes and a little pepperiness.
Stilton Jars have been held at the heart of the Paxton & Whitfield range for generations. You can often find our Jars in museums! Not only are these traditional ceramic jars highly collectable, they also acted as a handy way to keep your cheese cooler prerefrigeration. Some Stilton Jars are pumped with cheese, however at Paxton's we select a high quality cheese that is always carefully hand crumbled into the jar. The iconic black and gold jar is an ode to our listed shop front at our flagship 93 Jermyn Street.Read More
