Beauvale is an award-winning blue cheese; made by Cropwell Bishop who also produce our Stilton. Beauvale was launched in 2011 and has been a favourite of ours ever since.
Made with pasteurised cow' s milk, traditional rennet, and a different strain of Penicillium roqueforti to Stilton. The cheese flavour is full and predominantly savoury; with a delicious bit of spice. Firm textured when young, the cheese begins to break down and become more runny in the centre with age.
Deliciously rich and creamy; as well as a cheese board favourite, Beauvale makes a great cooking cheese - add to pasta, risotto, gratins and our stuffed mushrooms recipe.
