The results of the 18th British Cheese Awards were  announced at the beginning of British Cheese Week. The Supreme winner is Kilree – a sweet goat’s cheese from Knockdrinna Farmhouse Cheese, County Kilkenny in the Republic of Ireland.

 Entries included nearly 700 vegetarian cheeses, 170 raw milk cheeses, 110 organic, 60 blue and over 40 goat and ewe’s milk creations.

 Among other winners are Barkham Blue – Best Blue Cheese, Dorstone – Best Fresh Cheese and St Eadburgha Brie – Best Soft White Cheese.
