Featuring:
Snowdrop (SUPREME CHAMPION): This award-winning cheese from Cote Hill offers a delicate, creamy texture with subtle hints of grassiness and earthiness, accented by a gentle tanginess. Its flavour profile balances rich buttery notes with a refreshing, slightly sweet finish, making Snowdrop a delightful addition to any cheese board.
Pitchfork 200g (BEST TRADITIONAL CHEDDAR): Pitchfork is golden in colour with a mainly smooth, closed texture with the occasional blue vein. It has clean bright flavours, which range from savoury and mustardy to hints of honey with a long finish. Handmade by the Trethowan Brothers in Somerset.
Cashel Blue 200g (RESERVE CHAMPION): A semi-soft blue cow’s milk cheese that is unique for being Ireland’s first farmhouse blue cheese. Cashel Blue cheese starts as a firm textured, crumbly consistency but with ripening it takes on a soft, creamy, almost spreadable texture. As it matures, the flavour also changes, growing stronger and becoming spicier. The rind is very distinctive with a covering of grey and pink moulds.
Gorwydd Caerphilly 200g (BEST CHEESE FROM A MEMBER OF THE SCA): Often described as a 'three-in-one' cheese, Gorwydd Caerphilly has an edible mushroomy flavour rind, a creamy softness on the outer edge which ripens from the outside in and the centre of the cheese is crumbly, citrussy and bright. It's made by the Trethowan brothers on their dairy in North Somerset.
Paxton & Whitfield Cornish Buttermilk Biscuits 100g: Crisp & wholemeal Artisan Biscuits for Cheese - enriched with Cornish Buttermilk & Whey.
Paxton & Whitfield Cheese Tasting Scorecards: A pad of scorecards for you to taste and judge each cheese based on different qualities.
