Taste Evenlode Cheese

Evenlode has a firm, curdy core with bright, lactic flavours, and a softer, fudgy breakdown below its sticky, orange rind, where the flavours are more savoury, meaty, and peanutty and the aroma quite pungent. To develop the cheese's tender, orange rind, Evenlode is repeatedly washed in a brine solution, giving it that slight punch and lasting flavour.

Evenlode is a washed-rind, cows' milk cheese - handmade by David Jowett at Kingstone Dairy (maker of the award-winning Rollright). Kingstone Dairy is based at Manor Farm, Chedworth and the cheese takes its name from a nearby village to and a small river which rises at Moreton-in-Marsh and joins the Thames near Oxford.

Perfectly paired with a chilled pint of cider.
