Aurum in Blankets Recipe

Aurum-Pigs-in-Blankets

Ingredients:

200g Paxton & Whitfield Aurum, cut into 8 chunky pieces

8 rashers of dry cure smoked streaky bacon

113g (1 jar) Paxton & Whitfield Apple & Chilli Jelly

Handful of sesame seeds to serve

(Serves 4 or as 8 canapés)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (390 degrees Fahrenheit).

2. Take the Aurum pieces and wrap each one with a piece of streaky bacon, ensuring slight overlapping as you wrap.

3. Place the wrapped Aurum pieces on a baking tray.

4. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the Apple & Chilli Jelly for 30 seconds until it becomes runny.

5. Drizzle the runny jelly over the wrapped Aurum.

6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, turning the Aurum pigs in blankets halfway through the cooking time and drizzling the other side with the jelly.

7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

8. Allow the Aurum pigs in blankets to cool slightly before serving. Serve with additional Apple & Chilli Jelly for dipping.
